Biography
After a national tour and releasing her debut EP “All the Time” in October 2024, Australian rock artist Ash Acid has continued to write and record at breakneck speed. Her first single “Wait with the Sun” garnered community radio airplay, most notably on the Homebrew and Firewater community radio programs on PBS FM. “I Love Myself” was the fourth single and the alchemy that led to international radio play in Greece, the UK, the US, Germany, France, Croatia and Canada. Ash Acid’s desire to share her distinctive narrative continued to flower as she released her fifth single and debut EP “All the Time.” This first EP was slick, Naarm grunge music, and Ash Acid carved out a reputation for songs with incisive, reckless yearning.
Set to release her second EP this year, produced by acclaimed Australian producer Shane Nicholson (Kasey Chambers, Beccy Cole, Suze DeMarchi) and mastered by William Bowden (Gotye, The Living End), Ash Acid’s first single is a collaboration with an old friend in Danielle Fedoruk. “LMN” is due out on March 20th and tells the vivid story of a teenage rebel coming to grips with an “icy” father and her own interest in the same sex. The song retains an ethereal glow despite bouts of dark poetry and snowstorms, rinsed clean with the smoke of youth and blood.
